Ultima possibilità per il 2018 per visitare alcuni siti di interesse architettonico normalmente chiusi al pubblico. Sono 56 tra monumenti, musei, palazzi e residenze quelli interessati dall’iniziativa. Tra questi alcuni mostrano, per la prima volta, la loro bellezza: la Fabbrica delle E, la chiesa di Santa Cristina, la basilica del Corpus Domini, il Tempio Valdese, Palazzo Madama, il liceo Cavour, la Cartiera, la caserma La Marmora.

Sempre domenica, la Giornata Nazionale ADSI apre le porte di 30 residenze storiche private del Piemonte tra cui castelli, palazzi, ville e giardini. A Torino e in provincia si potranno visitare gratuitamente Casa Lajolo a Piossasco, il Castello di La Loggia, il Castello Marchesi Romagnano a Virle Piemonte, il Castello di Marchierù a Villafranca Piemonte, il Castello di Osasco, il Castello di Pavarolo, il Castello di Pralormo, il Castello Provana di Collegno, Palazzotto Juva a Volvera, Palazzo dei Conti Filippa a Castagnole Piemonte, Palazzo Provana di Collegno a Torino e Villa Richelmy a Collegno L’ADSI permette ai visitatori di accedere gratuitamente alle dimore storiche aderenti in due fasce orarie, al mattino dalle ore 10 alle ore 13 e al pomeriggio dalle ore 14:30 alle ore 17:30.

Nato a fine 2014, il MEF fa parte di un progetto di riqualificazione urbana: un complesso industriale che diventa un luogo di cultura. Un luogo diverso dal solito, un museo d’avanguardia che sta diventando un importante punto di attrazione per la città. il MEF propone ai visitatori un’offerta culturale a carattere internazionale attraverso la realizzazione di mostre di arte moderna e contemporanea. Il museo si snoda su 2 piani di mostre temporanee, più una piccola area dedicata all’artista Ettore Fico. Prima di andare via passate al concept store che contiene originale oggettistica, poi al bookshop, per terminare la visita con una cioccolata alla caffetteria.

Da pochi mesi è nato anche lo spin off del MEF con il MEF outside in Via Juvarra 13, un piccolo spazio sulla scia del MEF visitabile in poco più di mezz’ora.

Born at the end of 2014, the MEF is part of an urban regeneration project: an industrial complex that becomes a place of culture. A different place than usual, an avant-garde museum that is becoming an important attraction for the city. The MEF offers visitors an international cultural offer through modern and contemporary art exhibitions. The museum has two floors of temporary exhibitions, plus a small area dedicated to the artist Ettore Fico. Before leaving, go to the concept store that contains original objects, then to the bookshop, to finish the visit with a chocolate at the cafeteria.

The spin-off of the MEF with the MEF Outside in 13 Juvarra str. was born few months ago. It is a small space that can be visited in just over half an hour.

Oggi vi parlerò di un’altra magnifica singolarità da scoprire: la Casa dell’Obelisco. L’eclettico palazzo ricorda le opere di Gaudì, con uno stile vicino al mondo naturale e molto lontano dall’architettura tradizionale torinese barocca e liberty.

È stata progettato dall’architetto Luzi tra il 1954 ed il 1959 e si trova ai piedi della collina, in Piazza Ormea di fronte all’obelisco.

Torino è una città da guardare in alto; questo è un esempio di architettura che gioca sulle curve parallele tra loro che ricordano le dune del deserto o le onde marine. La sua bizzarria risiede nelle facciate costituite da un rivestimento in pietra chiara artificiale creata in laboratorio. La sua sinuosità è data da strati curvilinei sovrapposti modellati in corrispondenza dei pilastri e dei balconi.

Purtroppo non è visitabile internamente.

Today I will tell you about another wonderful singularity to discover, the Obelisk House.

The eclectic palace recalls the works of Gaudì, with a style close to the natural world and very far from the traditional Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture of Turin.

It was designed by architect Luzi between 1954 and 1959 and it is located at the foot of the hill, in Piazza Ormea in front of the obelisk.

Turin is a city to look up; this is an example of architecture that plays on parallel curves and remind us of desert dunes or sea waves. His quirkiness resides in the facades made of an artificial light stone cladding created in the laboratory. Its sinuosity is given by overlapping curvilinear layers modeled at the pillars and balconies.

Unfortunately it can not be visited internally.

Secondo Archdaily, il sito di architettura più visitato del mondo, al nr. 6 di Via Alfieri a Torino si trova la casa più bella del mondo. Il progetto ha restituito al famoso Palazzo del 1600 Valperga Galleani vita e prestigio; è stata infatti trasformata in una spettacolare residenza di 36 appartamenti. L’immobile ha molteplici chiavi di lettura: dall’architettura all’arte, dalla moderna funzionalità al benessere.  Gli elementi decorativi originali come affreschi, stucchi e decorazioni in basso rilievo convivono con il contemporaneo: cemento a vista, vetro, resine e rivestimenti hi-tech. Gli attici ospitano delle suite con terrazzo dai quali si godono viste panoramiche della città attorniati dal verde di giardini pensili ultra moderni.I fortunati abitanti possono godere della Beauty & SPA con sauna e bagno turco oltre a una palestra attrezzata. Il complesso coniuga spazi storici, protetti dalla Soprintendenza ai Beni Architettonici e Culturali del Piemonte, con l’arte pubblica delle installazioni nella corte interna dell’artista Richi Ferrero, elementi scultorei e ambientazioni fruibili dalla cittadinanza e inserite come opere ospiti nelle ultime due edizioni della rassegna Luci d’Artista. Insieme al cortile, adibito ad area per esposizioni, è possibile visitare il prezioso piano nobile, con le sue ampie stanze affrescate e ora dotate di opere contemporanee dʼarte e design.

Non una casa sull’albero, ma un giardino all’interno di una casa.

In via Chiabrera, vicino al Parco del Valentino, ha messo le radici un edificio – foresta totalmente green. Vi sono 63 appartamenti distribuiti su 5 piani, incorniciati da 150 alberi lasciati allo stato naturale e 50 piante più piccole che oltre ad avere la funzione di piccolo polmone, isolano dal rumore e dallo smog. Dalla strada potrete vedere le terrazze in legno e le enormi vetrate che riflettono il verde con la luce del sole. Troverete fioriere in basso e un verde pensile per la copertura.

L’aspetto esterno è di sicuro molto particolare e singolare, una chicca da non perdere!

 

Not a tree house, but a garden inside a house.

In via Chiabrera, near the Valentino Park, it has taken root a green building – forest. There are 63 apartments spread over 5 floors, framed by 150 trees left in their natural state and 50 smaller plants that, in addition to being a small lung, isolate from noise and smog. Questa residenza reale, Patrimonio dell’Umanità UNESCO, venne acquistata da Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia all’indomani del trasferimento della capitale del ducato sabaudo a Torino. Si suppone che vi fossero le reliquie del santo ma non sono stati trovati documenti in merito né sulla costruzione. Si dice sia all’esterno come una piccola Versailles. Nel cuore verde del parco ottocentesco di Torino, il Castello del Valentino ha conosciuto nei secoli diverse destinazioni d’uso prima di diventare sede della Facoltà di Architettura. Villa fluviale, con l’affaccio principale rivolto verso il Po, ha una struttura a manica semplice, articolato in quattro piani paralleli al fiume, delimitati da una torre da un volume sporgente a nord.  Le stanze all’interno sembrano ancora vivere, la cucina, la sala da pranzo sono tuttora perfettamente integri. Imperdibile anche la Sala dello Zodiaco.

Apertura esclusiva durante il 1 ed il 3 sabato del mese con visita guidata di 1 ora alle 10.00 ed alle 11.30. È necessaria la prenotazione (3.5€), l’ingresso invece è gratuito.

This royal residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was purchased by Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia following the transfer of the capital of the Duchy of Savoy in Turin. It supposes that there were the relics of the saint but no documents were found on the matter or on the construction. It seems, on the outside, like a small Versailles. In the green heart of the nineteenth-century park of Turin, the Valentino Castle has known different uses over the centuries before becoming the seat of the Faculty of Architecture. River villa, with the main view facing the Po, it has a simple sleeve structure, divided into four floors parallel to the river, bordered by a tower with a projecting volume to the north. The rooms inside still seem to live, the kitchen, the dining room are still intact. In addition, the Sala dello Zodiaco is not to be missed.
