Un nuovo museo a Torino, innovativo, multimediale, interattivo: #lanuvolalavazza.

Aperto nel luglio 2018 offre una panoramica sulla storia della famosa azienda, sulla famiglia e sulla storia del caffè in Italia.

Nuvola Lavazza comprende: il museo, gli uffici, la piazza uno spazio per gli eventi (fino a 1000 persone), un bistrot ed un ristorante gourmet, forse il nome di Ferran Adrià vi dice qualcosa?

Il percorso è suddiviso in 5 tappe: casa Lavazza, la fabbrica, la piazza, l’universo, l’atelier. Durante la visita potrete scoprire la storia che inizia con l’arrivo a Torino di Luigi Lavazza e la nascita di una drogheria, per scoprire del viaggio che portò lo stesso ormai settantacinquenne in Brasile nelle piantagioni di caffè. Sentirete i profumi, vedrete i semi e le piante, scoprirete come ancora oggi vengono fatte le miscele e vengono testate. Scoprirete perché l’espresso si chiama così, ma non solo. Potrete ammirare le prime macchine del caffè: Gaggia, Faema e la 1X prima macchina con le cialde per finire con ISSpesso la macchina del caffè che è nella stazione spaziale internazionale e da cui trovava ristoro la nostra amata samantha cristoforetti.

I più grandi potranno vedere il carosello con #Carmencita e #Caballero, i più piccoli potranno divertirti nel “Paradiso” Lavazza oppure facendo foto nel Lavazza #autobar che girava per le strade d’Italia negli anni ’50.

Ma non finisce qui: si potrebbe terminare senza una degustazione?

A new museum in Turin, innovative, multimedia, interactive: #lanuvolalavazza.

Opened in July 2018, it offers an overview of the history of the famous company, the family and the coffee.

Nuvola Lavazza includes: the museum, the offices, the Piazza a space for events (up to 1000 people), a bistro and a gourmet restaurant, perhaps the name of Ferran Adrià tells you something.

The trip is divided into 5 stages: Lavazza house, the factory, the square, the universe, the atelier. During the visit, you can discover the story that begins with the arrival in Turin of Luigi Lavazza and the birth of a grocery store, discovering the journey that brought the same now seventy-five in Brazil in the coffee plantations. You will smell the perfumes, you will see the seeds and the plants, you will discover how the blends are still made and tested. You will discover the why of the name “espresso” and admire the first coffee machines: Gaggia, Faema and the 1X first machine with the pods to finish ISSpesso the coffee machine that was and still is in the international space station with our beloved samantha cristoforetti.

The older ones will be able to see the carousel with Carmencita and Caballero; the little ones can have fun in Lavazza’s “Paradiso” or taking pictures in Lavazza #autobar that was going around the streets of Italy in the 50s.

However, it does not end here: could you finish without a tasting?

Dal 6 al 10 giugno, nuovamente al Parco del Valentino, potrete ammirare le auto al famoso Salone dell’Auto. L’ingresso è libero e aperto fino alle ore 24.

E per le persone non innamorate della auto, il salone si sposta in tutta la città con Salone Diffuso, dove si potranno ammirare auto storiche, super car e nuovi prototipi.

E per chi è invece appassionata di tecnologia, non perdetevi la Mostra dei Prototipi, in cui si potranno scoprire 40 prototipi nati dall’inventiva di Giugiaro, Pininfarina, Italdesign e molti altri.

For people who are not in love with cars, the salon moves throughout the city with the Salone Diffuso, where you can admire historic cars, super cars and new prototypes.

Ultima possibilità per il 2018 per visitare alcuni siti di interesse architettonico normalmente chiusi al pubblico. Sono 56 tra monumenti, musei, palazzi e residenze quelli interessati dall’iniziativa. Tra questi alcuni mostrano, per la prima volta, la loro bellezza: la Fabbrica delle E, la chiesa di Santa Cristina, la basilica del Corpus Domini, il Tempio Valdese, Palazzo Madama, il liceo Cavour, la Cartiera, la caserma La Marmora.

Sempre domenica, la Giornata Nazionale ADSI apre le porte di 30 residenze storiche private del Piemonte tra cui castelli, palazzi, ville e giardini. A Torino e in provincia si potranno visitare gratuitamente Casa Lajolo a Piossasco, il Castello di La Loggia, il Castello Marchesi Romagnano a Virle Piemonte, il Castello di Marchierù a Villafranca Piemonte, il Castello di Osasco, il Castello di Pavarolo, il Castello di Pralormo, il Castello Provana di Collegno, Palazzotto Juva a Volvera, Palazzo dei Conti Filippa a Castagnole Piemonte, Palazzo Provana di Collegno a Torino e Villa Richelmy a Collegno L’ADSI permette ai visitatori di accedere gratuitamente alle dimore storiche aderenti in due fasce orarie, al mattino dalle ore 10 alle ore 13 e al pomeriggio dalle ore 14:30 alle ore 17:30.

È stato da poco inaugurato un nuovo miracolo di riqualificazione: Nuvola Lavazza, che comprende non solo la nuova sede amministrativa della famosa azienda #madeinturin, ma anche un bistrot aperto a tutti.

Il mio consiglio è quindi quello di andare a provare “Condividere”, ristorante realizzato in collaborazione con Slow Food, durante la pausa pranzo e poter ammirare il progetto architettonico che ha riqualificato un quartiere periferico di Torino. Il bistrot è nato all’interno dell’ex centrale Enel ristrutturata, con vista sul giardino e sulla città.

La chicca è ovviamente la “Coffee Experience”, in cui professionisti insegnano come si fa realmente un buon caffè.

Una porta, un citofono, un biglietto da visita bianco e vuoto…

Così è nata la mia curiosità verso questo luogo nascosto e sconosciuto.

Un club con musica dal vivo ogni martedì e giovedì, per lo più jazz, con cocktail unici preparati con ingredienti per lo più piemontesi ed una vera e propria cantina con drink invecchiati o affinati di annate diverse.

La location, un vecchio mattatoio (si possono vedere gli scoli del sangue), ricorda i locali americani degli anni 30 con il soffitto a volta con mattoni a vista, luci soffuse e un arredamento retrò, una grotta nascosta nel pieno centro di Torino.

Da non perdere per una serata “speakesy”.

From them my curiosity towards this hidden and unknown place was born.

A club, with live music every Tuesday and Thursday, mostly jazz, with unique cocktails prepared with mostly Piedmontese ingredients and a real wine cellar with aged or refined drinks of different vintages.

The location, an old slaughterhouse (you can see the drains of the blood), recalls the American clubs of the 30s with vaulted ceilings with exposed brick, soft lighs and a retro decor, a hidden cave in the heart of Turin.

Not to be missed for a “speakesy” evening.

Nato a fine 2014, il MEF fa parte di un progetto di riqualificazione urbana: un complesso industriale che diventa un luogo di cultura. Un luogo diverso dal solito, un museo d’avanguardia che sta diventando un importante punto di attrazione per la città. il MEF propone ai visitatori un’offerta culturale a carattere internazionale attraverso la realizzazione di mostre di arte moderna e contemporanea. Il museo si snoda su 2 piani di mostre temporanee, più una piccola area dedicata all’artista Ettore Fico. Prima di andare via passate al concept store che contiene originale oggettistica, poi al bookshop, per terminare la visita con una cioccolata alla caffetteria.

Da pochi mesi è nato anche lo spin off del MEF con il MEF outside in Via Juvarra 13, un piccolo spazio sulla scia del MEF visitabile in poco più di mezz’ora.

Born at the end of 2014, the MEF is part of an urban regeneration project: an industrial complex that becomes a place of culture. A different place than usual, an avant-garde museum that is becoming an important attraction for the city. The MEF offers visitors an international cultural offer through modern and contemporary art exhibitions. The museum has two floors of temporary exhibitions, plus a small area dedicated to the artist Ettore Fico. Before leaving, go to the concept store that contains original objects, then to the bookshop, to finish the visit with a chocolate at the cafeteria.

The spin-off of the MEF with the MEF Outside in 13 Juvarra str. was born few months ago. It is a small space that can be visited in just over half an hour.
