Poormanger nasce nel centro di Torino nell’ottobre del 2011 dall’idea di Valerio (uno dei 3 soci) di rivisitare la classica “jacket potatoe” anglosassone in chiave italiana/mediterranea. Le combinazioni delle farciture sono infinite, gli ingredienti sono sempre locali, freschi e stagionali, come ad esempio formaggi, fondute, verdure, insaccati, salsiccia, salse e pesti. La maggior parte dei prodotti è a Km 0, anche se, volendo variare e mischiare gusti e ingredienti, a volte le proposte arrivano da altre zone. E’ un posto adatto a TUTTI, turisti, famiglie, studenti, ma anche vegetariani, vegani e celiaci. Il menù cambia circa ogni 4 settimane sempre in base ai prodotti di stagione.

Le birre sono quelle del famoso Baladin. Il locale, molto “easy” (ci si prepara il tavolo da soli), ha due dehors e ben 3 sale. Potrete creare dal nulla il ripieno che più preferite, non vi è limite alla fantasia! Unica nota negativa: non accettano prenotazioni; bisogna pertanto attendere pazientemente il proprio turno, ma… ne vale la pena!

Poormanger was born in the center of Turin in October 2011 from the idea of ​​Valerio (one of the three partner) to revisit the classic Anglo-Saxon “jacket potatoe” in Italian / Mediterranean style. The fillings combinations are endless, the ingredients are always local, fresh and seasonal, such as cheeses, fondues, vegetables, sausages, sauces and pests. Most products are Km 0, though, wanting to vary and mix tastes and ingredients, sometimes the proposals come from other areas. It is a place suitable for ALL, tourists, families, students, but also vegetarians, vegans and celiac. The menu changes about every 4 weeks according to seasonal products.

Beers are those of the famous Baladin. The restaurant, “easygoing” (you prepare the table on your own), has two dehors and 3 salads. You can create the filling that you prefer, there is no limit to fantasy! One negative note: they do not accept bookings; you have to wait patiently for your turn, but … it’s worth!
