Avete notato i tram colorati che sfrecciano per il centro della città?  Si chiamano Ristocolor e Gustotram. Si tratta di due tram storici che sono stati ristrutturati e adibiti a veri e propri ristoranti che possono accogliere al loro interno fino a 32 persone. Il design particolare è stato curato dall’artista Ugo Nespolo e riprende i colori della cremagliera Sassi – Superga.

Il tipico tram a Torino non è più soltanto un semplice mezzo di trasporto, ma un divertente luogo dove unire la visita alla città comodamente seduti, alla degustazione dei tipici piatti della cucina piemontese e dei suoi vini e magari anche alla musica dal vivo.

Vi sono quindi 3 possibilità: un aperitivo (durata 1h), una degustazione di piatti tipici (durata 1,5 h) o una cena (durata 2h).

Have you noticed the colorful tram whizzing to the city center? They are called Ristocolor and Gustotram. These are two historic trams which have been refurbished and used as actual restaurants that can accommodate up to 32 people. The particular design has been taken care of by the artist Ugo Nespolo and resume the colors of the Sassi – Superga rack tramway.

The typical tram in Turin is no longer just a simple transport, but a fun place that combine a visit of the city to a tasting of typical dishes of Piedmont cuisine and wines and maybe even live music.

Therefore there are 3 possibilities: an aperitif (duration 1h), a tasting of typical dishes (duration 1.5 hours) or a dinner (duration 2 hours).

Da ogni punto del centro cittadino si può vedere una chiesa illuminata sulla collina, questa è la Basilica di Superga, nota per un tragico evento dove morì tutta la squadra di calcio del Toro, e meta ancora oggi di pellegrinaggi di vecchi tifosi.

Ma come raggiungere la basilica? Torino presenta un’unica storica linea, la funicolare Sassi – Superga, unica in Italia nel suo genere. Essa è la continuazione di una tradizione ultracentenaria iniziatasi il 26 aprile 1884 con la prima corsa effettuata dalla funicolare costruita con il sistema Agudio: il trenino era mosso da un motore trainante una fune d’acciaio che scorreva parallelamente al binario su pulegge sistemate lungo il percorso. La linea fu poi trasformata, nel 1934, in tranvia a dentiera con trazione a rotaia centrale ed oggi, completamente ripristinata, offre ai visitatori un viaggio d’altri tempi sulle carrozze originarie e un panorama indimenticabile. In 18 minuti si risale la collina torinese dando spazio a scorci urbani che si aprono tra i boschi che tappezzano la collina.

Il percorso si sviluppa per 3.100 metri tra la stazione di Sassi (sita a Torino in piazza Modena, a 225 metri s.l.m.) e la stazione di Superga (a 650 metri s.l.m.). Il dislivello totale di 425 metri è superato con una pendenza media del 13,5%, con punte massime del 21% nel tratto finale tra Pian Gambino e la Stazione di Superga. All’arrivo a Superga, luogo che Le Corbusier definiva “la posizione più incantevole del mondo”, si può ammirare uno splendido panorama su Torino e le Alpi, visitare la Basilica di Superga edificata dall’architetto Juvarra e le tombe reali dei Savoia.

NOTE PRATICHE

La biglietteria si trova all’interno della stazione di Sassi. Il servizio è accessibile anche alla clientela disabile mediante assistenza di due accompagnatori, previa segnalazione al numero tel. 011/5764733 oppure 011/5764750.

Nei giorni feriali è necessario che i gruppi di almeno 10 persone effettuino precedentemente la prenotazione. Non è possibile prenotare per le giornate di sabato e festive.

From every point of the city centre you can see a church lit up on the hill, this is the Basilica di Superga, known for a tragic event where he died the whole soccer team of Toro, and that is still today the pilgrimage destination of old fans.

But how to reach? Turin has a single traditional collection, the Sassi – Superga funicular, unique in Italy. On weekdays it is necessary for groups of at least 10 people to maintain the reservation. It is not possible to book for Saturday and bank holidays.

Viste le limitazioni al traffico del centro si consigliano metodi alternativi. La zona blu (a pagamento) ricopre tutta l’area di interesse per i turisti. Il pagamento è di 1,30 – 2,50 euro/h a seconda della zona. I voucher si acquistano dai tabaccai, giornalai e casse automatiche.

Le zone di maggior interesse quali via Garibaldi, via Lagrange e via Carlo Alberto sono esclusivamente pedonali. È stata istituita una zona a traffico limitato (ZTL) dalle 7.30 alle 10.30 nella quale possono accedere solo mezzi e residenti.

L’area è tuttavia servita da tram e autobus, nonché da una linea della metro. Per il periodo notturno vi sono i night buster che collegano il centro con le principali attrazioni notturne. I biglietti sono acquistabili nei bar, tabaccherie e giornalai, costano 1,50 e hanno durata di 90 minuti. La linea della metro unisce le principali attrazioni nel centro e raggiunge la parte di Torino Sud con Eataly, il Lingotto ed il ponte olimpico.

Per potersi muovere facilmente vi consiglio comunque di utilizzare l’app google maps trasporti che vi darà indicazioni relativamente a come raggiungere qualsiasi posto in tempo reale con indicazione degli orari d’arrivo dei diversi mezzi di trasporto. http://www.gtt.to.it/cms/percorari/urbano?view=linee&bacino=U

Un’altra buona possibilità è quella di utilizzare il servizio TOBIKE, e usufruire dei 175 km di piste ciclabili della città. Il servizio è attivo 24/24, senza limitazione di orario. Anche in questo caso si consiglia di scaricare l’app Tobike che permette di conoscere in anticipo i posti dove sono presenti bici libere. Ci si può abbonare on line, ai servizi turistici di Piazza Castello e Piazza Carlo Felice e allo store tobike di via Santa Chiara 26f.

Another good option is to use TOBIKE, and 175 km of cycle paths in the city. The service is available 24/24, for an unlimited time. Also in this case it is recommended to download the free app Tobike which makes it possible to know in advance the places where there are free bikes. You can subscribe online or at the tourist offices in Piazza Castello and Piazza Carlo Felice or in the store tobike of via Santa Chiara 26f.
